Charlamagne Tha God Echoes Trump Warning on Guilty Before Proven Innocent

Radio personality and T.V. host Charlamagne Tha God has just joined President Donald Trump on the other side of the sexual abuse issue. President Trump, who made a lengthy statement in regards to the recent Kavanaugh controversy, stated that times are tough for young men in America. The statement speaks out against quick judgment, and the dangers of convictions without due process. Kavanaugh is the most recent victim of being convicted in the court of public opinion before all the facts came in.

Charlamagne Tha God, a popular co-host of morning show The Breakfast Club agreed with Trump. He tweeted a reference to the Central Park 5 in a highlight of Trump’s statement. The Central Park 5 were a group of men wrongfully convicted of raping a young women. In a time where sexual abuse is on the hot seat, much more attention is being paid to the accused. The Central Park 5 are not the only victims to be falsely accused of sexual misconduct, and in the wake of Kavanaugh those stories are gaining traction.

Charlamagne Tha God has firsthand experience with the harsh effects of sexual abuse allegations. Only recently an accusation brought against him was resolved in South Carolina courts. Like many similar accusations of this kind, the claim dealt with a decades old incident. The victim, a Ms. Jessica Reid claimed to have been drugged and raped by Charlamagne at a party he hosted in 2001. Initially the charges did not hold. A rape kit was applied and no DNA from Charlamagne was discovered at the scene. The radio host even opted for as much information as possible to go public in order for his name to be cleared. As South Carolina has no statute of limitations the case came to light again. View Additional Info Here.
