Doe Deere Entreprenueship Challenges and Success

Doe Deere was born and raised in Russia. At the age of 17, she relocated to New York in the United States and lived there for 14 years (from 1998- 2012). Currently, she lives in Los Angeles, California.

Like any child, she had big dreams. One thing that she wanted the most growing up was to become a musician. Well, dreams are valid; she followed her dreams when she moved to New York. She was in a band, and that’s where she met her husband who was also a musician and a songwriter like her.

As a musician, she learned so many things such as how to work on your career, how to market your products and how to appreciate your fans or customers in that manner. As a young child, Doe Deere was an entrepreneur; she created temporary tattoos, wore them and sold them to her classmates. It was no wonder when she decided to venture into makeup business and open her own company- Lime Crime.

Lime Crime started as an eBay fashion line account back in 2004. Lime Crime was officially launched as a beauty fashion company in 2008 with one purpose, to revolutionize makeup. Many people didn’t believe that a business selling lipstick online will survive even for the first six months. Doe was told by fashion experts who warned her about the possibility of survival of this type of business. She believed in herself and decided to take the risk.

Doe Deere brings in a new concept to the way people shop for makeups and how they use it. According to her, beauty isn’t about how you look naturally; it’s all about how you feel good at the right time. As a woman and an entrepreneur with humble beginnings, Doe is a strong supporter of women entrepreneurs. She’s on record talking about how important it is for women to find their voice and follow their dreams. She enjoys mentoring young, ambitious female entrepreneurs and recommends them to reach her or contact her through her Instagram account.

To Doe, makeup means everything. It’s her wish that all the women who purchase Lime Crime products enjoy the freedom that comes with them. What you wear tells a lot about the kind of person that you are, especially women. In light of this, Lime Crime wants women to feel proud of who they are and what they wear. Learn more:
