The corporation will allow Rakuten Inc to use drones and delivery robots in their Unmanned Deliver Solutions. Through the agreement, Rakuten will combine its expertise in running delivery services with Jingdong’s experience in developing delivery drones and robots. Rakuten has made this possible by carrying out deliveries and trails with other firms. Last year, Rakuten carried out a trial on the drones and delivery robots; Japan will thereby be able to work on the logistics sector in the country. Currently, Jingdong has drone operations in various provinces and states. JD.com has also worked with Indonesia to provide drone delivery services in the country. Jd.com managed to launch the first drone in Indonesia which recently gained government approval. The use of the drone is a step forward towards the development of more drones on the area.
